Insuring a car with a salvage title while on a loan?

Just wonder if its even possible to take out a loan on a car with a salvage title? I know that when you have a loan out on a car they most likely (if not always?) will make you have full coverage. But, i've been reading about cars with salvage or rebuilt titles and it says they are hard to get insured, and very unlikely to get full coverage. How does this work? Thanks!
