What is the difference between Regular Unleaded and Premium Gasoline ect...?

Also.. Would it hurt a 1994 Chevy Camaro, Fuel injected, V6...If I started using regular unleaded Gasoline, the cheap stuff?

The only difference between regular and super is the OCTANE rating. Octane rating does NOT measure quality or energy content. What it measure is the resistance to self detonation from high compression (mostly from high performance and turbo engines).

If your car was recommended to use regular, then stick with it. The ONLY other time to go up a grade is you hear engine knock. My Civic had that problem and I had to use super until I figured out why and fix it.

Most modern cars have engine KNOCK sensor. If your car has engine knock sensor, then you can use lower octane rating (especially in cooler or cold weather). Just expect that your car will feel weaker in hot weather, heavy pulling, or uphill.

IMHO

Good Luck...

Probably the price,,so if you can afford to run your car on the good stuff,,why not enjoy driving it
Reply:How many gallons is your tank, 18-19 gallons? If you save 20 cents a gallon, that's only a $3 saving per fill up assuming you don't let the tank run dry. If your manual says to use premium, I would do it since $3 a tank is a small price to pay to keep the car happy. If the manual calls for regular, you are wasting money using anything better.
