SIrius Satellite Radio signal on Long Island?

I live on Long Island in NY. I live in Suffolk County by MacArthur Airport in Bohemia/Ronkonkoma. My Radio plays for 5-10 minutes then says "acuiring signal". It never Acuires a signal. I turn the radio off and then on and SOMETIMES it comes back on. Then it says Acuiring Signal again. They sent me a new antenna. It did NOTHING.

Does anyone else have a problem with this stuff?

Is it the area?

Can an airport mess it up?

my gps works fine.

I don't think it is the airport because it happens all over Long Island?

Will a regular (in dash) radio be better? (how can it)

I am getting really annoyed.

The SIRIUS national broadcast studio complex is located in Rockefeller Center, in the heart of NYC.

It is one of the largest, most sophisticated, digital broadcasting facilities in the world and you should not be having this problem.........

However, in many metropolitan areas, factors such as microwaves and physical obstruction (bridges and tunnels) can still temporarily disrupt your radio鈥檚 reception.

However, this problem is largely held at bay by the four-second buffer created by slight broadcasting delays between our two satellites orbiting over the continental United States and our extensive ground network of repeaters.

If you still have problems contact them at 1-888-539-SIRIUS (7474).
