Why is gas so expensive now?

higher/more demand from every country and the supply is kept the same. so it causes a unbalance system which results in higher gas prices. BUT i think it is all b.s. since the oil companys made record Billions and billions of dollars profit last year and every freaking year.
Why is gas so expensive now?
cuz not too long ago every one wanted the biggest automobile that there money could get them and of course big car= big motor= lots gas =dwideling non renewable resorse but most blame bush
Why is gas so expensive now?
It started out with the USA economy being weak. So the dollar was weak.

But most of the recent price clime (from about $100 to $140 climb) is all due to WALL STREET speculators (meaning: GREED).

Good Luck...
Reply:Govnt is looking into this right now. Will take a while before they prob figure out it's some kind of price gouging technique companies have been behind, meaning gas station owners too. There is no way that there is a "shortage" all of a sudden. We aren't at that point yet, but in the near future we may be that's why this topic has been center of attention in debates.

They are doing it, because they can, plain and simple. Until someone stops them they'll keep doing it. Wouldn't you like to make more money also?
