HOW CAN I SAVE FUEL IN MY car!!!!!!!????
1. Excessive speeding will burn more gas.
2. Don't let your car idle. If you come to a stop and must remain there for a long period, shut the egine down.
3. Pump tires
4. Change air filter
See the following for more gas saving tips:

Reply:weight! remove all unecessary weight from the car. every lbs counts. lighter ur car is the more fuel efficient the car will be.
Reply:Forget all those "SAVE GAS" scams. This was on NBC morning TV show. The difference is as much as 38% (their claim). There are very simple rules to save gas:
(1) drive slow - not too much past 55
(2) accelerate slowly
(3) don't brake unnecessarily
(4) use cruise control - whenever it is safe to do so.
Don't coast - it is NOT safe and it does NOT save gas.
The above really works. Using those simple rules I was able to drive from Boston to NYC (210.5 miles) on just 5.112 gallon (94 Civic). That's 41 MPG (94 Civic 187K miles). Actually I was speeding at 72 MPH so I could do even better at 55.
WOW !!

Also doing a tune up really helps if your car didn't get one recently
(1) new spark plug
(2) spark plug wires
(3) coils
(4) distributors (if you have one)
(5) rotor (if you have one), etc.
(6) PCV valves
(7) air filters
(8) proper tire pressure
(9) clear the trunk of unnecessary weight
Good Luck...
Reply:Don`t drive it , let the kids walk to school and the mall ,and tell the wife to stop using the car to get her hair done , worked for us back in the 60`s-70s , Get rid of the gas guzzler and buy something that gets better mileage , or just stop using it to go to the store for a quart of milk ,or buy a horse. Other than that Buck up and just pay like the rest of us. Cost me almost $190 to fill my F250 Diesel but I can go for over 500 miles in town and almost 700 on the highway . Unfortunateley I need it to tow a trailer for work everyday and do not have an option. Thank you OPEC and G Bush .
Reply:Make sure that your car is in top notch working order. Keep the oil changed, the tires filled properly, etc. Drive smart, make each trip count. Don't make unnecessary trips, try to combine them. Good luck.........we are all in this together.
