Where can I get a diesel truck, van, small bus, car, anything diesel?

I want to convert something diesel to run on used vegetable oil that you can get for free from restaurants. But ill only have about $600 - $1000 to spend. Is there a good place to get them.

Look on craigslist... you can find alot of cars there suitable for what you wanna do.

Yes, look up in your phone book or google in your area. Public auctions. These are vehicles that are bid on by the public, they are used and usually trade ins or repossed vehicles. They go for real cheap.


There are two types of auctions, public and dealer. You want public.

Reply:in the news paper.but there is more to it than just getting used oil from restaurants it has to be purified and an additive put in check out the show dirty jobs
Reply:I can't imagine that you can get a diesel anything that will actually run for under $1,000 considering the premium cost for a diesel engine on a new car is well above that and the current economy favors diesels even with the cost of diesel fuel being above gasoline.


And have you checked to see whether YOU can get vegetable oil for free in your area, because lots of people know about this and may have tied it all up. And if you are just doing it for a demo, why are you repeating the demo that people have already done numerous times.
