Average cab fair?

How much does a cab ride from long branch NJ to belmar NJ cost...on average? The distance is exactly 10.76 miles.
Average cab fair?
From what I found on-line it should be around $42.00 to $45.00 dollars.

They are called " vents visors " ,all parts stores carry them, most are applied with peel and stick tape. They do work well to allow the hot air out when parked and keep the rain from getting in.

I'm buying a mitsubishi eclipse used car. Which color would cost me the least?

Assume that I have a few cars with exact same features but they all differ in color. Which color would be the least expensive and which one would be the most expensive?

I am in Austin Texas.
I'm buying a mitsubishi eclipse used car. Which color would cost me the least?
Color generally has nothing to do with price, unless it has custom paint, such as flames, etc.
I'm buying a mitsubishi eclipse used car. Which color would cost me the least?
If you mean which will get you the least police attention that is always plain white. It is a Psychological thing wired into most human brains. As for buying it. Color rarely has anything to do with cost of a used car. It is mostly the dealer, your credit, and condition. If you know how to work on a car a five or six year old late model, well maintained, in good condition is always best. You avoid depreciation, you can pay cash, and to an experienced mechanic they are all basically the same. The most frustrating thing today is the electronics and computer chips. But even that is easier to deal with than new car pain and depreciation. Don't go to dealers when any car is out of warranty. Instead find and develop relationships with good local private shops. Dealers sell hoke at four times the cost.....
Reply:I don't think you have to pay for the color you're going to buy and especially if it's used. You can always bargain for a good deal and that would knock off the cost of the paint if that was the case, but I don't think you would pay extra for paint.
Reply:it seems there it won't differ , but in the arab peninsula they pay more for the lighter colors , as it reflects heat.

in a country like Egypt they pay more for darker colors (may be cause it's elegant)

Car guys!!!!! HELP ME if you know about camaros and trans am's!?

In a late 90's early 2000 edition of both cars which would yall say is a little bit better on gas? I know they both come close but lets say a 6 and 8 cyl automatic of each....THANKS!
Car guys!!!!! HELP ME if you know about camaros and trans am's!?
Trans am, a camaro has a big engine and would cost more on gas.
Car guys!!!!! HELP ME if you know about camaros and trans am's!?
The V6 would be better of fuel economy, but the V8 isn't that much worse. Especially when you're getting 150HP more. The V8 isn't bad on gas anyways. It gets like 27 MPG highway vs. the V6s 30MPG. By the way the Trans/Ams are V8 versions of the Firebirds BTW. So if it says Trans/Am on the side then it's a V8.
Reply:The 6 cyl of course but..... I would get the V8 no doubt beause the 6cyl are junk. Buy the V8 you will be happier in the long run.
Reply:6 cyl of either is better on gas than 8 cyl of either. Camaro will tend to be a little better on gas overall, but not enough to make a real difference. Probably within a couple miles of its counterpart. Either one is going to suck down the juice, especially in 8 cyl
Reply:All depends on the condition of the engine

6 cyl will use less but 8 cyl are worth it i say
Reply:Whew! I owned one of the last "Bandit" cars and loved it. Everything but the gas in 1979! These are just not gas savers. They are sports cars. I have no idea what the late 90's were like. I do know the 80's models really were bad. Starting with that turbo charged variant. You can make any car run right if you keep it long enough and take care of it and know what you are doing. But you have to fix what was not done on the production line in the first place. I have a friend who is also an aircraft mechanic. He restored a '70 Triumph Spitfire and basically rewired the entire car. It is not classic to a purist. But It is a fine little car now. Only a complete masochist would live with original Lucas Electrics, "masters of darkness". I would never buy them today, a ten year old Mita is a lot better car with same virtues. But hey different strokes to different folks. If you buy one of these its going to cost you in gas and work, unless you can do the work yourself. No matter what model you buy. None were designed with gas saving in mind.....or reliability.

What does it mean for a car to have 1001-bhp V-16 turbocharged engine?

What does it mean for a car to have 1001-bhp V-16 turbocharged engine?
1001 back wheel horse power. v refers to the shape of the cylinders, 16 cylinders.
What does it mean for a car to have 1001-bhp V-16 turbocharged engine?
The Veyron has a W16 not a V16 and it's Quad-Turboed not simply turbocharged.

1001 HP = HP number

W16 = 16 cylinders and they are arranged in a "W" form(2 V8s put side by side)

Quad-turbo = 4 turbochargers.

Does anyone know of a car rental company that will allow a person age 20 to drive (not rent) the rented vehicle?

Most places will only rent to you if you are 25 or over, and allow you to add on an additional driver who is at least 21. A person over 25 is going to be renting the vehicle, but we want to be able to switch off drivers for the 12 hour trip, and the other person is only 20.

California Provisional License: Driving my sibling who is a minor to school?

I'm a minor (16 yrs old) with a provisional license.

I researched and found out that you can drive minors if you have a note from a principal, etc. The law, however, is quite vague in that the excuse is "schooling". Does that include driving my brother to school?

Please do not post a link to the DMV site since the information that it provides is obscure.

Thanks in advance.
California Provisional License: Driving my sibling who is a minor to school?
I doesn't look vague to me:

"Provisional License

After passing the road test you'll be given a provisional license. If you're younger than 18 years old this requires you to be accompanied by a parent, guardian, licensed driver 25 years old or older, or a licensed, certified driving instructor while:

Driving between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. for the first 12 months or until you turn 18.

Driving with any number of passengers younger than 20 years old, for the first 12 months or until you turn 18."

"The state relaxs the overnight driving restrictions during the first year of holding a provisional license only under some very specific situations:

"For school or school activities warrant being out during the rstricted time. (Must have a note signed by the principal or authorized school official on your person.)

Should you or your family member has a specific need to be transported during the restricted times. (Must possess a note signed by your parent or guardian.)"

Read your driver's handbook as well, I point you to pages 54 and 55.

Meineke issues... please help!?

I recently got a leaking ac "fixed" at meineke. They charged me 300 dollars for an o-ring replacement at the expansion valve and a recharge. Less than 30 miles later it didn't work. I took it back and they couldn't find anything because they "didn't have the right equipment". I'm taking it to the head manager's meineke in another town tomorrow, but they say if it is another leak then i will have to pay the full price again, except for the charging. I feel like they should fix the other leak for free, since they didn't catch it before. I live in a very hot humid place so id like to get it fixed but I'm also a broke college student so i dont have 300 dollars to just throw around whenever. What should I do?

Can my car pull a horse trailer?

My car is a Ford Focus Estate and I am intersted in buying a horse trailer. I am looking at the Equi-trek Sports Trekka which has an inladen weight of 1200 kilos and a gross weight of 2750 kilos (i'm not sure of what the difference between these is?!!!) the horse I would be towing is about 15hh. Is it possible for my car to tow this safely? Or am I being stupid. Can you recommend another side loading horse trailer (I live in the UK). Many thanks!
Can my car pull a horse trailer?
This has to be the funniest post I've ever read!!! Thanks for the laugh!!

Please post the videos of the ensuing car wreck on Youtube, ok!
Can my car pull a horse trailer?
I doubt your car can pull a horse trailer.

Along with the gross weight of the trailer - you have to consider the weight (not height) of the horse - the weight of every piece of tack, equipment, every item in the trailer. You add all that up.

Your car's owners manual will say what weight is safe for your car to pull.

Usually a car can pull a small utility trailer. But that's about it.

Water for Fuel?

Ok, there is already an answer sort of, but I don't have a good answer to this. The whole thing with converting your car to be able to run on a little bit of gas and water to more than double your gas mileage. On ebay there are plans for like 10.00 then there is a company that gives plans for 150.00; I just need to know from someone that actually has done it themselves, DOES IT REALLY WORK? ARE THERE ANY DRAWBACKS AND IF SO WHAT? I HAVE TO KNOW, I WANT TO TRY IT WITHOUT GETTING SUCKERED.

Water for Fuel?
It is nothing but a scam.

Now that gas prices are hitting all-time highs, the scammers are coming out of the woodwork with these lame schemes that do nothing but lighten your wallet.

But what about all those people who say stuff like "it works for me, check this site out.."?

Well more often than not they're also just in it for the money and telling lies to earn cash. The links they provide are often part of a "pay per click" referral program or send you to websites where they make money by selling HHO kits or ebooks.

http://www.squidoo.com/Water-For-Gas-Con...

It's very simple. You don't change your engine or computer. A quart-size (95O cc) container is placed somewhere under the hood. You fill it with DISTILLED WATER and a little bit of BAKING SODA. The device gets vacuum and electricity (12 Volts) from the engine, and produces HHO gas (Hydrogen+Oxygen). The HHO gas is supplied to the engine's intake manifold or carburetor as shown below.

Hope this helps. :-)

Would like to use the wrx 6 speed trany, is there any way to block off the all wheel drive for a mid engine?

I'm building a mid engine car for auto cross %26amp; would like to use the wrx 6 speed, but I need to know if I will have a problem with the all wheel drive. I want to use just the front wheel drive of the trans but not sure if I can block off the rear wheel drive part. Could use alittle advice please.
Would like to use the wrx 6 speed trany, is there any way to block off the all wheel drive for a mid engine?
yes you can cover the output shaft and it will still work.
Would like to use the wrx 6 speed trany, is there any way to block off the all wheel drive for a mid engine?
Guess you don't know much about cars, then.

The transmission has nothing to do with all wheel drive at all. It's the three differentials that controls the all wheel drive. (That's the simplified explanation, you can find a more complicated version at howstuffworks.com)
Reply:You should look into a porsche trans. They're actually designed for a mid engine application so you can use the complete transaxle, and you can probably get one cheaper than an STi unit (the regular WRX is a 5 speed, the STi is the 6 speed and the trans alone generally goes for $4000-$6000)

That stuff is on sale at Kragen's or similar car part stores. If they don't have it, ask them to look in the computer and see which nearby store would have it.

How to get black exhuast without diesel (maybe and additive???)?

okay i want to make my lawnmower (its more or a offroad racing mower now) hav black smoke because it just looks so cool and i didnt want to switch to a diesel setup or run diesel gas for that matter, isnt there something cheap i can do or just add to the gas to make it smoke black, and i know about the whole running it rich or lean to make it smoke, mine is running just fine, but i want it to exhaust with black, a 30hp engine with 2 chrome stacks and 32' boggers in the back and 20' boggers in the front without black smoke, sigh... its just not cool lol. Would adding like food dye or tattoo or regular pen ink to the gas make it smoke black or just burn up and do nothing someone help me please!!!
How to get black exhuast without diesel (maybe and additive???)?
"Black" smoke is not a good sign. I have no idea WHY you think it's "cool". It's air pollution.
How to get black exhuast without diesel (maybe and additive???)?
You can always add a little motor oil to your gas, but for the love of god why would you want to?
Reply:It's stupid and if you want it go buy yourself a used semi engine.
Reply:I know thees answers are not Wat you are looking for. you con get black exhaust by making it run rel rich. but it will have no power because it Will be running so bad . you will all so use More gas, and foul spark plugs quickly. but you can get White smoke by drilling a small hole in the exhaust pipe and ejecting (squirting) oil in to it. closers to the engine the better. the only efficient way to get black smoke is to get a diesel engine.
Reply:their is a company i think thats called autoloc, That make a smoke screen kit for cars. Its a simple install and pretty cheap. Or just add a lot off high viscosity oil to your gas(not the best idea).

Is it true that you cant have your AC on in the car while in traffic because it will over heat?

Only if there's something wrong with the cooling system of your car. Most modern day cars have sufficient cooling systems to be able to handle the extra heat of having the A/C on while you're stopped. I know my car has fans that sound like jet engines that turn on and blow air through the radiator, intercooler, and A/C condenser while I'm stopped or going slow around town with the A/C on.

In Georgia, do you have to have a learners permit before getting liscence at age 17?

I've heard once your 17 you can jus go get your liscence without having a permit.
In Georgia, do you have to have a learners permit before getting liscence at age 17?
The permit is the licence to learn. It is the licence to be behind the wheel. You cannot take your behind-the-wheel driver test without your permit.

"I heard" is a lousy source of information, about on a par with "they say".

There is only one state that has gone backwards and now issues no permit, and that is New Hampshire.

As of January 1, 2007, all teen drivers will be required to complete an approved driving education course before applying for your regular Class D driver license.

If you are under the age of 18 and not enrolled in school, you'll also need to provide a copy of your GED, or an attendance form from your county's Board of Education stating you are enrolled in an approved home school. If you withdraw from school before you graduate, have more than 10 unexcused absenses, or reports of misconduct, you cannot apply for a learner's permit or keep one if you already have it.

"Unfortunately, the first law of thermodynamics states quite clearly that the energy generated by recombining the hydrogen and oxygen through combustion can only ever be equal to the amount of energy it took to separate them.

In fact it's worse than that.

Because there all sorts of losses involved in the generation of the electricity, the delivery of it to the electrolysis cell and then the combustion process, we actually recover far less energy from burning the hydrogen than it took to create it."

How may gallon of gasoline we can make out of a barrel of oil? and what other kind of fuel we can make?

About 19.5 gallons of gas from a barrel of crude. Diesel fuel, jet fuel, kerosene, and petro chemicals. The amount can vary slightly from different types of crude.

Sure it will probably run for a few hours then you will REALLY REALLY REALLY screw your car to hell. If it's a diesel car then yes it will be better but, a gas car is out of the question.
Ok, Now running your car with cooking oil?
you can really run it on 100 percent cooking oil. The trick is to start the engine on diesal and allow it to get at the correct operating temp. Once you have reached this temp switch over to the cooking oil. You pretty much setup a electric vavle that will stop diesal gas from entering into the engine and at the same time allowing the cooking oil to enter. There are a couple of companys that make these kit, and they are really easy to install and setup
Reply:The conversion has been done a number of times to allow vehicles to do this. The individual usually gets some notice on TV or the newspaper.

One problem is finding someone who can do it without damaging your engine. Then there is the problem of a reliable supply. One person can go to various restaurants and get waste cooking oil for free. Several hundred people in a town would create a demand for it greater than the supply. Restaurants would start charging.

If you buy cooking oil at the store, it is about $3.25 per quart.

Not a Question but a Comment?

With reference to an answer to a question regarding trucks delivering to individual Stores and markets. Back in the 50s, most stores had railroad spurs that were used to deliver freight to the stores. Trucks are only needed to pick up freight from the railroads and deliver to stores. Not long range trips. Trains are by far, more efficient than trucks when they transport the same amount of freight. Sooner or later, we are still going to have to use trains for most of our transport needs, this includes people too as the airlines shutdown from lack of fuel or the high cost. Reality bites folks.

Fuel milage?

does headers, a high flow exhaust, and an cold air intake increase, ur fuel milage if u can keep your foot out of it?
Fuel milage?
Noooo, not at all. The High Flow makes the exhaust get out faster which makes the gas go in faster. I would suggest putting an electronic tuner and setting it for gas millage not horse power. Good luck.

Any good virtual/online car modifiers out there?

I have a 96 civic hatch and I was thinking about beautifying it a little. I'm not talking about rediculous body kits and stuff, just different colors, and alloy wheels and such, just to make it look a little cleaner and more pulled together. But it would be fun to see what crazy stuff i could do to it if i was into that stuff. I was wondering if there are any websites where you can play with a free online virtual car customizer similar to all the detailed lil things you can play with on need for speed and stuff. I found one called "hmodder" but the things you can change are pretty basic. Silly I know, but I was just curious. Thanks in advance!!
Any good virtual/online car modifiers out there?
With Honda, the only name that is really synonymous with it is Mugen. They offer everything from bodykits to suspension.

Their bodykits are designed with aerodynamics in mind.... i.e. promoting more downforce and a slippery Cd.... so its not just eye-candy unlike many other brands out there.

Don't know of any online car detailer... but you can see the kits they attached to cars...

What do I need to know to pass my driving test...?

I live in Florida and tomorrow I'm going to get my license...im 16...and I know I can pass the written part like the road rules and road signs cause I took that to get my permit but what do they test you on for the driving part? I already know that the DMV I'm gonig to is a closed course behind the building so I don't have to worry about other cars and everything.
What do I need to know to pass my driving test...?
Just try to stay calm(now its hard )but the person thats giving u the test is just anoter person.Just relax and do what u would do if u where driving by youre self.GOOD LUCK
What do I need to know to pass my driving test...?
I remember a fellow taking the test in Ft. Lauderdale, flunked the first time because he had the window open and put his arm on the door jamb, the second time he talked to much, he wised up on the third time. Don't make these simple mistakes.
Reply:Hi i just took my test like 3 months ago and the first thing they do is stand in front of your car and ask you to use your left %26amp; right turn signals, turn your lights on and then your high beams then turn lights off, then your winsheild wipers, honk horn then brake. B/C they want to make sure you know where these things are. Very first thing PUT YOUR SEATBELT ON if you don't you fail instantly. Then you begin the course%26lt; make sure even if there is no yellow lines in the road (some courses don't) still turn on the right side of the road and use signals and dont speed. Hold both hands on the steering wheel at 10 o'clock %26amp; 2 o'clock. After the instructor takes you around a few turns you will have to parralel park and you have 3 backups/forward only and if your car is not completly behind the oragee poles or you bump the poles you will fail. Then on my test he took me arount to the exit onto the main road for one stop light, if this happens make sure you stop completly behind the white line. And thats the whole test. It takes less then 10 minutes. And he will not even let you finish the test if you mess on certin rules like the ones i explained. So you will know right away. They usually will let you slide on some of the little things but it's best to just know them. Don't be too nervious Iwas and it made me shakey but luckliy I had a really nice instructor and he worked with me. Practice makes perfect!!! You can read more at www.penndot.com

GOOD LUCK!!!

The worst driving test examiner you ever had?

what is your story and how did he get on your nerves. can you get into trouble for talking back to him and cussing?
The worst driving test examiner you ever had?
First, yes you will get into trouble for cussing them out. They can ban you from getting your license if you do that. If you have a problem with the instructor/examiner, go to their supervisor and tell them the problem. Let the super handle the employee...not you..

My worst examiner/ instructor was my father when I was learning to drive in a stick shift. He had no patience for me missing gears and I didn't pass the written test the first time I went down to take it and he said I didn't study/ which was bs because I studied hard all day. i didn't get my license then until I was 19 and a boyfriend loaned me his car. Another boyfriend before that taught me stick.

Chem Question in regards to air fuel ratios ...interesting read below.?

An automobile engine requires a carburater or fuel injector to mix fuel with air. The fuel and the air must bemixed in a particular ratio to acheive maximum efficiency in the combustion of fuel . What might happen if the fuel and air mixture is too rich ( if there is too much fuel ?) please and thank you :]
Chem Question in regards to air fuel ratios ...interesting read below.?
The ideal mixture of air and fuel is known as the stoichiometric ratio.

When this ratio is achieved, there is a exactly the right amount of fuel and air to ensure complete combustion and full utilization of the available oxygen.

If there is more fuel than air (ie: the mixture is rich) then incomplete combustion occurs and that generally results in an increase in carbon generation.

Over time, this carbon can build up on the inside of the engine's combustion chamber, piston and valves -- causing problems.

It also means you won't get the best MPG that your car is capable of.

Of course exactly how much fuel is required to create a stoichiometric mixture depends on many factors such as the density of the air (which changes with altitude and barometric pressure). With a carburetor, an engine tuned to run correctly at sea-level will run rich at altitude because there's less air available to burn the fuel in.

Modern cars have computer controlled fuel injection which addresses this problem by constantly monitoring how much air is going into the engine and whether there's any unburnt fuel or oxygen in the exhaust. By monitoring this, the amount of fuel injected can be finely tuned to ensure maximum power or efficiency (depending on where your foot is on the gas pedal).

Are you allowed to take your learners permit test when your 14...?
You can't take the test until you are 15
Are you allowed to take your learners permit test when your 14...?
No you have to wait just like everyone else.
Reply:No, sorry you must be 15 and in some states not until 1 month before your 16th birthday , even to only to take the test because when you go to take the test it's all computerized and you instantly get your permit on the spot. I,m 24 years old and just got my permit 6 mos ago and got my licence 3 mos ago. Some advice to, most people fail the first time, so make sure you read the drivers manual throughly, THEY WILL HAVE TRICK QUESTIONS!!!! these are what i failed the first time for even though i studied very hard. Memorize things like how far away do you have to park from a fire hydrant, %26amp; if your parked next to a curb up hill which way do you turn your wheels, or if your parkede downhill with no curb? Also know the catigories of the signs. One of my questions showed a pichure of a green highway sign, and asked what TYPE of sign is this:

A) informational

B) directional

C) guide

D) limit sign

this is kindof a trick question because it can be 3 of them the thing is, which one was it catagorised under in the book. go to

Switching gears: Drive to Neutral at 40mph. Bad or OK?

I always see my friend switch Drive to Neutral when he goes on this road at 40 mph, which is a little hilly, and he would switch after about 1 mile back from N to D without braking or slowing down at 40mph
Switching gears: Drive to Neutral at 40mph. Bad or OK?
You will need to do some more research, but I think I remember that it is illegal to operate a motor vehicle on the road out of gear. You don't have the ability to accelerate as quickly if you have to wait for the transmission to engage to avoid an accident. Bad Joss!!!
Switching gears: Drive to Neutral at 40mph. Bad or OK?
bag that Legality crud that guy said ...turn the car off if you really want to save gas ,but it is harsh on engine to start and restart engine often but you cvan seave lots of fuel,if manual "dont" down shift,if auto neutral shift is fine just dont shift to reverse"careful"
Reply:Will not hurt it.

I do it too!
Reply:Well, it can be hard on the transmission for one thing, but it is illegal in some places to coast out of gear. BC in Canada for one, Indiana in the US for another, have laws against it. Commercial vehicles over a certain weight are governed by federal licence laws that prohibit it.

When you are out of gear, you cannot react to any emergency situation that demands quick acceleration or quick controlled manoeuvres.

I was getting gas today and hit the kickstand and went inside to get a drink... when i was inside someone came

inside to say gas was flowing all over the place. For some reason the kickstand thing didn't work right and didn't shut off when the gas tank was full (i only needed to "top it off"... I already had 3/4 tank of gas!!!)... and gas just kept flowing out and my credit card was charged $58.00 for 1/4 tank of gas! Shouldn't the gas station reimburse me for this since it was not my fault that the mechanism didn't work, or am I responsible because I went inside to buy a cold drink and left my car unattended???? I'm very upset because I live on a VERY limited budget and that money was for groceries, not to be spilled on the gas station ground! The attendant just shrugged and said "uh... sorry!" and this never happened before! Please advise if I should pursue this or would I be wasting my time and cause more aggrivation than it's worth?! I was thinking of "stopping payment" on the charge before it's put through (it was my debit card) but that will cost $15. I want to do what is right. Thanks.
I was getting gas today and hit the kickstand and went inside to get a drink... when i was inside someone came
All gas stations have signs saying that you are NOT to leave your car unattended while filling, and that the customer is responsible for any spills or leaks that happen while filling their cars. Just be glad they didn't make you clean it up too.
I was getting gas today and hit the kickstand and went inside to get a drink... when i was inside someone came
I'd say just pay the 58 bucks and keep quiet about the whole thing... BECAUSE... if the gas station really wanted to be picky about the thing, they could call the EPA out to clean up the hazardous spill and sue YOU for the cost. They still might do this.... best of luck!
Reply:See if you can find a way to contact the Owner and figure something out. Tell them you'll never buy gas there again and will tell eveyone you know to do the same if they don't do something about it.
Reply:There is a notice on the gas pump that says DO NOT

LEAVE THE PUMP.

You are lucky if they do not sue you

.Pay the bill and be glad there was no fire.
Reply:It could have been a number of things. Sometimes you don't fully click-back the nozzle, which would cause it to overfill the tank %26amp; therefore spill over. It may not have been the mechanism on the pump at all. That happened to me once. But you are supposed to stay at your car/bike while filling. If you know someone else who needs to get gas, have them use the same pump and see if it does the same thing to them. If it does, then I would try to pursue. Try talking to the owner or main manager of the station instead of just an attendant.
Reply:I doubt that your bank will support you. There may be a pro-bono on-line attorney consultation service, though I am not sure that they would be able to do anything until someone proved that the gas station's automatic cutoff on their pump was hosed.
Reply:Sorry but its on you ....

Never ever leave pump unattended, lots of gas on ground coulda been worser than 58 beans, think about it?
Reply:In many places it is illegal to leave the car untended while the shut-off lever is in place. In some, it is illegal for self-serve stations to even have them. You are lucky you aren't charged under environmental disaster laws. You walked away, leaving a hose running, dispensing a toxic, poisonous, and flammable liquid. There is nothing to pursue. A spark and you would have been resonsible for burning down the station. Stop payment and you will be sued, and face legal charges. Take this as a lesson. I learned before I even took my licence that gasoline was to be respected, too bad you didn't.

Edit June 9:

It seems obvious you are more sensible than I originally thought. Your original post was made from emotion. I understand the "wallet" thing, it hurts us all at some point in time to have to pay for something we don't even get to use. I bet you don't leave the pump untended again, and perhaps your post will save somebody else.
Reply:The pump could also be faulty? I would just write as a lesson at the moment. Just be aware of it in the future, I wouldn't be happy either. Don't worry about being held liable for it, you assumed the pump should stop when full. Just plead ignorance (It is no excuse) but it does work. Just a bad experience. Don't worry
Reply:Never leave a filling tank unattended! You could have caused a fire and been sued for all you have plus future earnings! Thank the lord and be glad you have such good luck!
Reply:sorry ,,,take it as a loss..never,but never leave gas pumping and not watching it.you are at fault....
Reply:Never leave a running gas pump unattended. Things like what happened to you are one reason. Another is theft. Anyone can pull up and move the nozzel to their car or gas container. As for reimbursement. No, it is not the gas station's fault you left it unattended. Stopping the charge would get you more trouble as it would be considered fraud. The gas station is out the amount of gas you spilled. Do you think higher prices for everyone else is fair? Just be more careful next time. Sorry for your trouble.
Reply:It's not worth the trouble. You'll be found of being negligent for leaving the fueling unattended and you're lucky they didn't make you clean the mess you made which caused a hazardous situation. Just cut your losses and count your blessings, it could've been a lot worse.

How would does it cost to convert your car to run on vegetable oil (SVO)?

How much would it cost to convert a 1990 -1998 Volkswagon Jetta or Passat to run on Vegetable Oil? Any Ideas?

Anyone out there ever get your car converted to run on SVO?

What Company converted your car?

How well is your life going with a Veg Oil car in your driveway?
How would does it cost to convert your car to run on vegetable oil (SVO)?
Cars do NOT run on veggie oil. Cars run on Bio Diesel - that is created from Veggie oil.

Bio Diesel run on ANY DIESEL car - no conversion necessary. That is the attraction of bio-diesel.

BUT ..... You can not get bio-diesel at any gas station. It has to be created in you garage from used french fry oil. So you have to ready to run around town collecting used cooking oil and get dirty converting it.

Good Luck...
How would does it cost to convert your car to run on vegetable oil (SVO)?
running Straight Veg oil is BAD for your injector pump! SVO has no lubrication properties!

The best thing is to make the biodiesel at home, there are Biodiesel converters that you can buy online, and they work well!

Biodiesel has BETTER lubricating properties than regular diesel so with that your engine will last longer than the usual 600,000.

Some Hippie kids from Vermont drove their converted school bus over here (Oregon) on waste and had to replace their injector pump ($1200 used). They were talking about converting to Biodiesel on-board.

Seen my biodiesel scooter yet?

E-mail me!
Reply:I would like to address Flashman's answer . . . You can use actual vegetable oil, of any kind, right off the shelf, to run a properly converted diesel engine. Of course, the best/cheapest way to get veggie oil is used, from restaurants. There are several successful and trusted companies selling conversion kits and providing tons of information. To run SVO it has to be heated to allow it to flow and act more like regular petrol. Most kits being sold have a heat exchanger for this purpose. SVO must also be well-filtered from contaminants like food particles and water. Here are a couple websites you should check out for more info:

Trading in a car and best kind of car for college?

My mom recently bought a used 2001 Grand Caravan from Markwood about 3 months ago. The first question is, can you trade the car back into Markwood for a different vehicle and still expect the same monthly loan payment if the second car is about the same price as the van was?

Secondly, what is the best kind of car for college? I live in West Virginia, so I'd be driving about 230 miles to college through mountainous terrain and sometimes in bad weather. I need a vehicle that is good in bad weather, is rather small, has good gas mileage, but also has space to carry stuff. I was thinking a Jeep Liberty, but what are some other suggestions?

If Im buying a vehicle is the dealership supposed to let me know if the car was previously a lemon ?

a lot of reputable dealers will offer you a carfax report for free but I think that only tells you if it's been totaled. make sure to not only get a carfax report but also figure out exactly what should be on that report. also take it to a mechanic you trust to get it looked at. don't trust the dealership to tell you what you deserve to know, because their goal is to get you to buy the car.

Is a driver license required to operate a street scooter in boca raton-florida?

This is what I found, hope that it helps..........

In current law (322.01 F.S.), motorized scooters are considered motor vehicles. Under 322.03 F.S., a valid driver license is required to operate any motor vehicle on the public roadways unless it鈥檚 explicitly exempted by language elsewhere in the statutes.

There鈥檚 no such exemption for motorized scooters.

Moreover, because motorized scooters lack license plates and registrations, the law does not allow them on the public roadways, even if the rider is licensed.

Can golf carts run on car batteries??

Can golf carts use car batteries if they are 12v and how many do you REALLY have to have to work?

I have never worked on a golf cart, but I got one with NO batteries supplied so please give all info you can if you don't mind.
Can golf carts run on car batteries??
YES!!
Can golf carts run on car batteries??
I wouldn't recommend it. Conventional car batteries are constantly being charged and are just used to start a car. If you want to run down a battery without damaging it you're best off looking for 12volt "deep cycle" batteries which are designed to be drained and charged repeatedly.
Reply:NO. They use DEEP discharge 12v battery. Car batteries become damaged if they are deeply discharged.

Marine batteries (boat batteries) are often DEEP discharge battery.

Good Luck...
Reply:golf carts are normally 36 or 48 volt if you try and go with less it is like driving with the brake on. for best results you want deep cycle batteries and the more battery area the better so on a 36 volt system 6 - 6volt batteries are better than 3 -12 volt batteries.

How much gas in left in the pump hose?

When you fill up at the gas station how much gas in left in the gas pump hose? My motorcycle requires premium fuel but how much of the gas in the pump hose is actually regular before the premium starts to come out?
How much gas in left in the pump hose?
half a cup or less
How much gas in left in the pump hose?
Many stations in my area have separate hoses for premium gas ( although you can still pump premium from the single hose that also pumps regular, mid-grade and premium octane as well ). I make sure I fill up at one of those stations with a separate pump for just premium for that very reason you mentioned.
Reply:I don't know how much is left in the hose under normal circumstances but I do know that I make sure to get as much out as I can.

When most people fill their car or truck, the hose comes down from the pump then back up again to the handle.

I found that once the pump cuts off, I can get at least another cup-full of gas by lifting the hose so that the amount normally left sitting there flows out into my tank.

It's not much but at today's prices it's got to be worth a few cents and, over the period of a year or so, it's probably a few bucks worth.

Yeah, I'm a miser.

A little more indepth about car functions?

Hello, I just turned 16 and I am really getting into cars the more I am around them, but there are a few things i do not know what they mean. Could you give me a brief description of what the following do or what purpose they are for.

BHP?

Horsepower?

Torque?

RPM?

Liters?

That is all for now, thank you.
A little more indepth about car functions?
BHP stands for Brake Horse Power. the British use it. its a way of measuring HP with a Braking device. We just say "horsepower"

http://www.buckleyoldengineshow.org/Spot...

Horsepower and Torque are kinda related. Horsepower is calculated with Torque and speed in a math equation.

this is a GOOD page on both.

http://craig.backfire.ca/pages/autos/hor...

RPM is "Rotation Per Minute"

and Liters are like Gallons or Cubic Inches (either is a form of Volume)except they are about the size of a Quart of oil. 3.785 liters make a gallon.

16.5 Cubic centimeters make a Cubic inch

1000 cubic centimeters make a Liter
A little more indepth about car functions?
Bulk Horse Power - horsepower that the engine produces as a certain rpm.

Horsepower - the amount of power an engine produces.

Torque - the 'turning' power produced by an engine.

RPM - Rotations Per Minute.

Liters - European measurement for an engine versus Cubic Inches.

There are different ways to say the above, but you get the point. See link below for lots more info.

Good question.
Reply:BHP Brake Horsepower - measured at the crankshaft

Horsepower - measured at the tire

Torque is the force of twisting, likely expressed in foot pounds

RPM is Revolutions per minute

Liters is the displacement of the cylinders.
Reply:BHP Brake HP. To the Flywheel(Engione only baiscly)

Horsepower the more the better.

Torque its what pushes you to the seat when u acc.

RPM revloutions per minute. How fast the engine is turns.

Liters The displacment ofr the engine.More the better
Reply:BHP = flywheel horsepower (the B stands for break as I recall)

horsepower = power, compared to a horse.

torque = how willing the engine is to move the wheels under load (why cars can spin tires or smack you back into your seat)

rpm = how fast the engine is turning

liters = engine displacement is measured with these, if an engine has 3 liters it means you could theoretically fill the engine with 3 liters of air and gas in 1 rotation.
Reply:BHP is brake horsepower, a measure of the vehicle's ability to do work. It is different from horsepower in the BHP generally refers to the engines "net" ability to produce power, often horsepower is a measure of the engine's ability without the inclusion of things like an alternator or water pump.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horsepower

Torque is the ability of the engine to generate a torsional moment, that is turning force. It is measure in ft-lbf, that is so many pounds of force at a 1 ft radius. Torque is important as it is what gets you moving. Diesel engines produce huge amounts of torque, but not so much power as this type of engine cannot operate at high speeds. Gasoline engines can generate more power as they run faster, less torque per cycle multiplied by many more cycles/minute means more power.

RPM - revolutions per minute, a measure of how fast the engine is turning.

Liters, a measure of the displacement of the engines cylinders. All things being equal, torque is generated by the combustion pressure acting on the piston face. larger pistons, more area, more force more torque more power. It's not really that simple though as the bigger engines cannot operate as fast, but more displacement is generally a great idea if more power is desired, a very bad idea if efficiency and low fuel consumption is desired.

It actually could have gone faster but had to slow down due to the fact that it was approaching a corner. The car costs $600,000. So ask the shift manager at McDonalds if you can work some overtime.

Why would someone by a new fpv f6 for 65k when they could buy an xr6 turbo that is just as fast and is 45k?

The xr6 turbo is just as fast, and it is way cheaper.

These cars are both made by ford.

How many gallons are in one barrier of gasoline?

I want to do the math on how much profit their making if one barrier cost $110 and one gallon $4.25
How many gallons are in one barrier of gasoline?
There is 50 gallons of of oil in a barrel but they don't get 50 gallons of gas from a barrel
How many gallons are in one barrier of gasoline?
There are 42 gallons of oil in a "Barrel of oil" .

Crude oil barrels are different from the 55 gallon drums that we see commonly.

One barrel (42 gallons) of crude oil, when refined, yields approximately 19.6 gallons of finished motor gasoline. The remainder of the barrel yields distillate fuel oil, residual fuel oil, jet fuel, and other products.
Reply:There are 42 gallons in 1 barrel.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrel_(uni...

http://www.energy.ca.gov/gasoline/whats_...

People call them 50 gallon drum - but that's just myth.

===

Of that, they get about 50% gasoline out of that. With the gasoline being so profitable the oil companies are trying to make more gasoline out of 1 barrel.

Good Luck...

but they put about 49 gallons or so in a barrel.

they do this because

1) to make more money

2) so it doesn't spill all over
Reply:A barrell of gas is a pipe line measure it is 44 gallons. It is not really a barrell.
Reply:There are 42 gallons in a barrel of oil , and when it is refined into gasoline, you will only get 20 gallons of gas out of it.

What if you lose your driving hours sheet in Michigan?

I lost mine and my segment two class is tomorrow and I need it so, what do I need to do to get another one? And can I just make up the hours? because it's not like I'm going to remember.
What if you lose your driving hours sheet in Michigan?
The DMV should have driving logs for you if you lose/ or need more. Of course you can make up your hours like I did but don't take the real driving test until you have confidence in doing so.

Most Japanese auto drivers are stingy, small minded & cowards?

Where are you coming from.

Good Luck...
Most Japanese auto drivers are stingy, small minded %26amp; cowards?
Yes, that's me to a tee.
Most Japanese auto drivers are stingy, small minded %26amp; cowards?
idk you tell me. the new gtr beat the pants off of the porsche gt3. Chevy Corvette Zo6. mustang gt ,dodge viper. a whole list of cars. My question is wat do you mean by this? if it is because they are always driving fast then they probably have never felt what its like to drive a powerful car that they don't have to put the pedal to the metal to change lanes or get up to speed.

How do i build a differential on my go kart?

i want to build a differential on my go kart but i dont want to buy it. i want to build it. my go kart doesnt turn good because it doesnt have the differential.
How do i build a differential on my go kart?
this is a tricky thing to build, but not impossible, first a few questions, how does the drive go to your rear axle right now? do you have access to a full machine shop? and how good are you at fabrication and machining? i can walk you trough the process, but it is long and difficult, and it most definately will not save you money over buying a pre-made unit. email me if you want more information
How do i build a differential on my go kart?
First of all, what kind of kart is it?

If it's a fast kart with lots of power then a change in driving style may eliminate the need for a differential. You need to be more aggressive in your driving by entering the corner fast and then backing off the throttle or braking so as to cause the rear-end to break traction slightly -- this works really well if you're running on a lose surface like dirt or gravel. You can then slide around the corner.

If it's just a yard-kart then instead of a differential, just set it up so that only one wheel is driving. A single drive-wheel means you'll be able to corner very easily and because you have only limited power, the lack of drive to the other wheel won't slow you down any.

Remember that even if you add a differential, unless that diff is a limited-slip type, you'll still end up with pretty much single-wheel drive once a wheel starts spinning.

Building a differential is a major job and I don't know of any "off the shelf" units that would be cost-effective.

Is it better to start the car off in neutral so it rolls?

I was wondering. Or do it with letting off the clutch slowly and give it gas. I'm a newbie to a manual car and I have a 6 speed 350z. So I was trying to wonder whats better for most ppl.
Is it better to start the car off in neutral so it rolls?
You get better gas mileage because it's called hypermiling or hyperdriving. Check my link for more info on it.
Is it better to start the car off in neutral so it rolls?
Many of those other techniques are dangerous, and forget all those "SAVE GAS" scams. This was on NBC morning TV show. The difference is as much as 38% (their claim). There are very simple rules to save gas:

(1) drive slow - not too much past 55

(2) accelerate slowly

(3) don't brake unnecessarily - but safely

(4) use cruise control - whenever it is safe to do so.

Don't coast - it is NOT safe and it does NOT save gas.

The above really works. Using those simple rules I was able to drive from Boston to NYC (210.5 miles) on just 5.112 gallon (94 Civic). That's 41 MPG (94 Civic 187K miles). And that way when I was speeding at 72 MPH. It will do even better at 55.

WOW !!
Reply:You are worrying about it too much, I have the same car 06 350z, I've put 30k miles on it. The car can take alot of abuse and still run great. That should be the least of your concern, I don't even understand what your asking, if your just crusing let the clutch go slowly as you accelerate. This car is designed to DRIFT, let alone "slowly let the clutch down" This car is a beast. I love it

Can I take my high mileage car on a long distance road trip?

I'm looking to take a 22 hour road trip from Massachusetts to Florida. At the moment I'm questioning if taking my car is the smartest or dumbest thing I could do. I currently drive a 2001 Nissan Maxima with 135,000 miles on it. The car is in good shape, has only ever been in one bad accident but was fully repaired. I change oil/rotate tires every 3,000 miles and regularly check out any 'strange' noises or fluids should they arise. If I were to do a full tune up on the car prior to the start of this proposed trip.. would the car be alright for the trip?
Can I take my high mileage car on a long distance road trip?
well the thing is, what if something dose go wrong?

id leave it home because because if you were to break down on the side of the road your trip would be done. your best bet is geting a rental. that way if the rental breaks down they bhring a new car right to you. ya it might be worth more but it would be worth it in the long run.
Can I take my high mileage car on a long distance road trip?
Has car been on long trips recently? Might be safer to rent car.
Reply:22 hour trip is not long if car is in good condition like you say i cant see any problem with that IF you can stay awake %26amp; alert the whole trip
Reply:We took our 1996 Ford Windstar on a cross country trip a couple of years ago. It had about 150, 000 miles on it and we were just fine. Just watch your temperature gage and give your engine a break every couple of hours. If you do have problems, make sure you have AAA insurance or something like that. Old cars can go the extra mile. However, the bottom line is-go with your gut feeling. It is better to be safe than sorry.

If we all boycotted gas who all would join in?

we should set up a date to boycott or use as little gas as we can because it will become really bad soon we should set it up a year in advance or half a year what would be better?

it would be nice to ee the prices go down.

god, i don't wanna see what it would be when i start to drive.
Reply:People who could walk to work.
Reply:It won't do any good. Oil is huge on the global market and the reality is any fuel not bought up in the U.S. will gladly be bought up elsewhere.
Reply:I can't boycott. I don't have public transportation and I can't afford a taxi. I have a bad back and can't ride a bike everywhere (I used to when I was 20)...Besides, no one will remember to do it in a year.
Reply:What's your solution? Ride a bike 15 miles each way to work in 105 degrees?

A boycott will NOT lower the price of gas. If we don't buy it, China and India will.

$5/gal gas is coming, and is here to stay. Dump the SUV and get used to it!

Reply:It's not going to change a thing. When are you people going to wake up to the fact there is a world market out there. If you don't want to buy plenty of other people will. As far as $5 a gallon gas goes,I'm sorry it's going to go way past that. $7 is a more realistic figure. At least you can still buy gas. In the seventies you could not even buy it and the price still went up. Does that tell you something about how little affect a boycott would have? You have no control over the price of gas.
Reply:Gas is a product that can't be boycotted- It is necessary to drive to work, in my case a 60 mile round trip daily- It would be like trying to get everybody to boycott food . Sit sown and try to think about something that we may have a little control over- perhaps the greed of the oil companies?
Reply:Only way to boycott is to boycott driving, not buying gas. That could actually work.

As for the doomsday people who claim "$5 gas is here to stay" and "more like $7", don't be so sure. Most economists I'm seeing are saying that before we hit $5 averages, oil will bust and we'll start heading in the opposite direction.

John Cassidy, for one, believes that once it peaks, it's going to crash. He predicts that such a crash might send gas tumbling all the way back to $1.50 for a gallon. History's shown that this doesn't last, and we will see if it repeats.

Great gas mileage, is it too good to be true?

http://www.hafctechnology.com and http://www.preignitioncc.com/peakenergy/

I found this info on the net, and requested a quote. They quoted me $1050.00 for the device (the hafc). I can see it working in theory, and $1050.00 is not a lot to pay if I can get the mileage they say I can. I just think it's too good to be true. I also think that if it were real, we would be hearing about it more. It would be all over the news right now. I don't know, I am not a mechanical engineer. I believe, as I said, in theory it makes sense. But I ultimately think it is a scam. What do you guys think, or does anyone have any info to verify this? Going from 20 mpgs to 60 mpgs would be great.
Great gas mileage, is it too good to be true?
If it worked, it would be all over the news, don't you think?

Reply:i am also searcing and looked at gas4fuel on the net. In theory it would work. Lot of negative reviews from the academic types. I am going to be in contact today with somene who had been exposed to this technology. When fuel was cheap it was not realy that important to safe on fuel. The picture now changed. I am in South Africa and used some fuel enhancements on trial when I raced Formula M cars. Definately increase in power. Could be seen as enhancing the grade of octaine. If additional power is not used for speed then cetrainly it would save on consumption. Keen on testing HHO system as I have 5 cars running in the family. I have just set up yahoo messanger for IM and do not know if it is active. I would like to keep in contact
Reply:It's a scam- designed to take advantage of people during these times of high gasoline costs. This if it worked would transform the world- do you actually think that G.M. would quit making 4 models of suv's and trucks because of poor gas mileage resulting in low sales when all they had to do is equip their vehicles with this item? Come back to earth, it's a scam, pure and simple.
Reply:High gas mileage devices have been around since the invention of the car , undoubtedly a scam, especially now that we are so vulnerable with the outrageous price of gasoline
Reply:HHO is a scam.

Huge numbers of scammers are pushing this system now that gas prices are high. They figure that some people will try anything to improve their gas-mileage.

I got tired of addressing this same issue over and over so I wrote an article that explains the nature of the scam and providing proof that it doesn't work.

Take a moment to read the pages I've linked to below.

Remember, if it really did work, Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda and all the other auto-makers would be using it right now, rather than spending billions of dollars every year in an attempt to make more fuel-efficient vehicles.

But what about all those people who claim that it's worked for them?

Well almost without exception, they're part of the scam.

They're either selling HHO kits or ebooks, or the links they post are part of a "pay per click" referral scheme that earns them money every time some dupe goes to the sites they talk of.

Avoid, avoid avoid.

Offroading?

Me and my buddy decided we wanted to each pitch like 500 bucks for a banged up wrangler or something so we could go thrash we found a couple just a little over what we wanted to spend and were wondering if anybody knew a good place to get beat up cars that still run well in the orange counta CA area.

I would check with any automotive repair shops that are around your area because I am sure that they will have something to sell that is running.

I know would have some junker to sell if you came up to me with a $1000.00 bucks...

Can anyone tell me the difference between cars back then and cars now?

I need to know what has changed since in cars since the 1920's to today.
Can anyone tell me the difference between cars back then and cars now?
Everything. Get a book on the history of the automobile,it would take days to explain all that has changed. One note, gas cost about a quarter back then.
Can anyone tell me the difference between cars back then and cars now?
So much have changed it will fill a book.

But I think the most exciting thing were the recent changes - namely the software (computer). Through the use of sensors and software, our cars run cleaner and get better MPG and has more HP and lasts longer.

For instance, in carburetor day, the engine had to run RICH all the time to prevent engine knocks. Now cars have knock sensors and the ignition timing is immediately retarded ON THE FLY to squelch the engine knock.

Also the old cars had mechanical timing advance. Now the computer can be programmed to advance the timing exactly for every driving condition.

If you were to look at old car diagrams, the vacuum diagram look like a spaghetti dish. Modern engines vacuum diagrams are about 1/3 as complex due to use of computer software AND runs better.

HHO gas injection-?

I live in South Africa. Fuel costs rose by more than 30% this year. Found a lot of negative reviews re HHO gas injection. As a theory it should work same as pushing compressed air (turbo) into the intake for more power. If the power is not used to increase speed would it then not increase consumption. Any one who actualy have installed HHO out there.
HHO gas injection-?
The basic SCIENCE is all wrong on these devices.

But just think simply and ask this question: If these devices really worked, why doesn't the car companies install them and sell more cars (and make more money)?

Because it doesn't work.

Good Luck...
HHO gas injection-?
Why don't car companies install nitrous?
Reply:I've been asked this question so many times I simply wrote an article to save my fingers from re-typing it over and over.

In short, HHO is a scam and does not work.

Yes, you'll find plenty of people who swear that it does work but they almost always turn out to be the ones who are either trying to sell you an ebook or HHO kit, or who will direct you to a site that does by a "pay per click" link.

To work, these things would have to break the laws of thermodynamics.

And ask yourself -- if they really did work, why are Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda and all those other auto-makers spending billions of dollars every year trying to get the last few percent of fuel efficiency out of their engines rather than using HHO?

The link to my article is below, read all three pages for a full explanation and some simple math that shows why it won't work.

Edit: I notice that those pitching these scams are going through Yahoo Answers and giving a thumbs down to anyone that dares expose them as a rip-off.

If someone provides a link to their own website promoting these products, remember that they're in it for the money, not for your best interests. Snake oil -- avoid!
Reply:Yes, I have and several friends, co-workers and family members.

There are many factors involved in whether an HHO generator will work well or not. The major factors are:

1. what are the electrodes made of, how well will they conduct electricity and how quickly will they corrode?

2. What electrolyte mixture are you using in the water (electrolyte is required to make the water conduct electricity to split the hydrogen and oxygen)

3. how much oxygen are you involving in the gas out to the engine?

4. How many o2 sensors does your vehicle have and how will they react to the extra oxygen they will detect? (sometimes the o2 sensors will detect more oxygen and increase your fuel ratio to compensate for it - I personally have not had this problem, but have heard others record it)

Speaking from my personal experience with the generator I now built, I have literally TRIPLED my gas mileage.

Potential hazards include:

1. Chance of exploding HHO gases if mis-used.

2. Blowing fuses.

3. Water damage to the exhaust over time.

4. Water in the engine - if you are really really careless.

Additional: Common "problems" thrown at you by the nay-sayers, and the narrow-minded smug:

1.*** It takes more electricity to produce than it gives in return with energy.*** = TRUE.=

That is why these are being used along with gasoline engines! (come on folks! think a little).

The electrolysis here is powered by the alternator from the combustion of gasoline. Because the product is HHO (which is 3 times more combustible than gasoline) - less gasoline is required to achieve the same speeds as before THUS - more MILES PER GALLON.

2. ***It's a scam*** = False=.

You might as well call Flashlights, Airlines, Solar Power and Refridgeration scams also. All science is first denied by the narrow-minded. Flip through a good history book, then learn some Chemistry! The electrolysis of water produces Hydrogen. Hydrogen and Oxygen (when not combined in H2O formula) are highly combustible. This can be used in internal combustion engines.

Yes, it takes additional battery power if you want to do this solo without gasoline - but doens't all science require some work on our part? Stop being so Lazy!
