When buying a car, how much confidence can be placed in an Hpi check alone? Are there any other ways of making sure the car is what it is advertised as - I have also been told about RAC checks (around 拢150)..anyone had any experience?? Thanks
HPi check.....RAC tests....???
wouldnt recomend rac....i had one on a polo estate and discovered later that it had been in an accident and had a replacement panel ....also if u read the report u get there are so many disclaimers that it aint worth the paper its written on.....now i get a hpi check and take a mechanic friend with me to give a second opinion........thats about the best option

hpi checks are very handy...best bet is also to take a mechanical friend[not a robot] with you for advice...
