Car warranty and Gap cancellation?

Today we got a check for $1297.57 for a canceled car warranty and Gap. We had the car for 1year and 3months(2/07-5/08) . The total warranty cost was $1750 and the gap was $800 both for 5 years. Prorated - we figured should be 437.50 warranty and 200 Gap = 637.50 - total 1750+800= 2550 should equal 1912.50 compared to the 1297.57 thats a 614.93 difference, I know that they are going to take out fees but that much? They've already told us that this was the Gap and warranty together. We are not cashing the check until this is figured out -.

Our milage that was driven was less than 10,000 miles.

Any help would be appreciated.
Car warranty and Gap cancellation?
I see how you are doing it and it make since but remember that you are dealing with the insurance company and extended warranty people and they may be using a higher percentage rate to prorate this for you.

I would call and ask to speak with a supervisor that is in charge so that you can find out what rate they are using and also %26lt;%26lt;dont%26gt;%26gt; cash the check because you know that once you do you are agreeing to a "full and final settlement".....
