Stop van from skidding?

my father has a ford transit, long wheel base (Lwb)


it has good tires on it, is there any way to stop the back wheels from skidding, some useful tips or something?

um, the only thing I can think of if it has good tires on it is to slow down when you turn...

Use Pirelli Tires, get better suspension, change the original wheels to bigger and wider ones. A Transit isn't that good.
Reply:Are the best tires on the back? That is the main thing, newest tires, tires with most traction go on the back. Other than that, ensure any load is place to balance the weight front to back, and drive carefully.


It is hard to be more specific, because you aren't giving examples of actual skid experiences, like in the rain, on gravel, in snow, etc
