Whats the difference between regular gas and premium?
Simple answer: Octane

==== If the simple answer satisfy your question - stop here ===

Long answer: Octane rating is a measure of the gasolines resistance to self-ignition (from high compression). They are mostly recommended for high performance engines (like turbo).

Octane rating does NOT measure quality or energy content.

If you car is recommended for regular, you get absolutely NO benefit from using more expensive stuff.

Good Luck...
Whats the difference between regular gas and premium?
The simple answer is that 'Premium' petrol has a higher octane rateing than 'Regular'.

Regular is normally 95 RON

Premium can be 97 RON or more

The Octane rating is a guide to how well the petrol resists early detonation from the compression of the piston, sometimes called knocking or pinking.

This can make a difference to the performance of a modern electronicly controlled engine, but older injection and carb engines wont get any benefit out of it unless they are tuned for that fuel.
Reply:Its better.
